UNITECH planning infrastructure expansion in Stord, Norway

UNITECH founder Bernt Hellesoe sees opportunities for growth during the down turn in the Oil Industry. He is looking to secure a large area in the Stord Offshore Base for a Research and Development dock.
 “In my opinion the expertise in the Stord and Sunnhordland area is the most underestimated in Norway and the surrounding North Sea basin both in respect to availability of competent personnel and the facilities available for us”, said UNITECH’s Chairman of the Board.

 The dock would serve UNITECH in two ways, first as the access portal to the North Sea for delivery of UNITECH’s expanding range of Steel Tube Flying Leads & Umbilicals, as well as the test dock for ongoing development projects. These projects would emphasize an innovative combination of existing technologies for use in multiple industrial applications. The dock can give 100 jobs to the Stord and Sunnhordland area.

 Hellesoe has secured the services of the former Stord Mayor, Liv Kari Eskeland as the New Dock Project Director. She says that Bernt Hellesoe is an innovative inventor with the financial capability to take his inventions to the industry. The move to secure the land in the Stord Offshore base could realize up to 100 plus new jobs, benefiting the region as a whole.
