UNITECH to supply DEG/MEG Injection jumpers for Mediterranean Gas Field
Subsea distribution systems specialist UNITECH, have won a contract to supply DEG/MEG Injection jumpers for a gas field at up to 1,700m water depth, located in the Egyptian sector of the Mediterranean Sea.
The single line jumpers, with their UNITECH UH-550 2” female connectors, will be used to link a PLET and XT to an umbilical termination assembly (UTA) for chemical injection operations. The UH-550 male stab connector, with a design pressure of 10K psi, features an API 6A flange for mounting on the subsea processing equipment. The ROV operated UH-550 female stab connector’s metal-to-metal seals ensure a quick self-sealing connection.
Assembly and testing of the jumpers will take place at UNITECH’s facility in Stord, Norway. Close to the quayside, the Stord facility includes an Umbilical, HFL and EFL manufacturing and termination factory, together with a test and qualification center, white welding shop and materials laboratory.
